Job Summary:
  • Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of warehouse, labeling, and building machinery and equipment. This role ensures compliance with safety standards, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and assists in various tasks as directed by management.

Job Duties:
  • Assemble, install, maintain, repair, and overhaul warehouse, labeling, and building machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules and good manufacturing practices.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in pneumatics, hydraulics, circuitry, and electronic sensors.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams, and ladder logic diagrams.
  • Perform mechanical work including repairing gears and bearings and constructing material handling equipment.
  • Repair and install hydraulic systems, including pumps and flow systems.
  • Conduct maintenance wiring, motor installation, and electrical system inspections.
  • Inspect and make repairs to motors, switches, junction boxes, circuit breakers, lighting, and power circuits.
  • Install, connect, adjust, and calibrate electrical gauges and recording instruments.
  • Troubleshoot equipment controlled by P.C. controllers and mechanical equipment sequencers.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures and maintain open communication with supervisors and team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned when regular work is unavailable or abnormal workloads arise.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • 2-year Technical Degree in Maintenance field preferred.
  • Journeyman Certification is a plus.
  • Minimum five years of experience in mechanic work, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with diagnostic troubleshooting, repairing and replacing defective parts, adjusting machinery, and modifying units.
  • Ability to pass a Multi-Craft Aptitude Test (Mechanical and Electrical).
  • Forklift experience is necessary.
