Maintenance Technician

Harrison Gray Search has partnered with an award-winning plastics manufacturer in the Grand Rapids area to help them find a maintenance technician for their dayshift, weekend (Friday-Sunday) role with one weekday of your choosing.

Role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this is an on-site, 12-hour day weekend shift (Friday-Sunday) + one weekday position. The organized, self-motivated, individual in this position is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines/equipment.

In this role youll get to:

Troubleshoots and repairs production machinery/equipment such as pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines/equipment, racking systems, etc.

• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control systems/instruments
• Repairs and/or replaces defective parts
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices/machines

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3 or more years of mechanical maintenance experience in a production environment maintaining production equipment (thermoforming experience preferred)
• Reads and understands electrical diagrams and blueprints
• Programs and understands PLCs
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication skills
