 PracticeLink is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist with proven skills and experience. In this role, you will work with our accounting team, business stakeholders, and vendors to compile and maintain A/P records for nine businesses.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, self-starter and takes direction well.  He/She is highly organized, detail-oriented, able to maintain confidentiality, and trustworthy.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Enter, track and pay bills.
• Prepare a list of bills due and A/P checks.
• Regular reporting on all A/P and maintain files.
• Perform entry and coding of transactions.
• Prepare bank reconciliations.
• Answer all vendor inquiries.
• Analyze vendor accounts and negotiate extended terms with vendors when necessary.
• Prepare analysis of accounts, as required.
• Assist in month-end closing.
• Assist with accounts receivables and special projects, as necessary.
• Prepare daily deposits and start bags.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient with MS Office software and accounting software, specifically Excel and Quickbooks.
• Proven experience with cash-handling accuracy.
• Ability to work across departments to meet deadlines for regular accounting and financial reports.
• Use attention to detail in order to recognize errors and/or discrepancies, and take appropriate actions to rectify. 
• Must be able to use discretion with confidential matters.
