Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill a Shop Helper position with our fabrication shop, Madden Fabrication, located in NW Portland. The person in this position will be performing shipping and receiving functions, driving to run errands, handling materials, assembling parts, organizing as needed, and operating forklifts.

Pay: $20-$24/hr

Shop Helper Responsibilities:

  • Open and close the shop daily.
  • Regular driving and material handling to address shop needs.
  • Shipping and receiving functions for the yard and office.
  • Operating forklifts to move materials.
  • Organizing shop and materials.
  • Assisting with assembly needs.
  • Provide support in other areas as needed.

Shop Helper Qualifications:

  • Must have current Driver's License and be insurable to drive a company vehicle.
  • Must be able to pass a UA drug screen (including THC).
  • Shipping and receiving skills are a huge plus.
  • Forklift operation experience.
  • Should be eager to learn new skills to grow and expand within the company.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be very punctual.
