First Call Staffing is hiring for a Manufacturing Maintenance Tech in the Anderson area. This will be a possible full-time hire for the right candidate
Job Description
An industrial maintenance technician is responsible for carrying out various maintenance tasks, typically in a manufacturing environment. They install and inspect machines and electrical equipment and carry out preventive maintenance to ensure that industrial machines remain operational.
Job responsibilities include:
- Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
- Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
- Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
- General maintenance of facilities as needed.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Troubleshooting down equipment
- Bending, crawling, climbing in and around equipment
Minimum Requirements:
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical schematics
- Demonstrate a high level of initiative
- Work well as a group or solo
Preferred Capabilities:
- High mechanical aptitude
- Forklift experience
- Associates degree or higher
As the Manufacturing Maintenance Technician, expect to cover a wide variety of needs on a daily basis. The position is an integral part for manufacturing upkeep, process improvements, new line installations, and technical support for the plant. You will be working either as a team or by yourself to fix or troubleshoot issues. You will also be asked to assist with new lines and machine installations.
The base pay is $20.00 + depending on skill set and experience.
