Job Summary:
  • As Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead a team of Maintenance Technicians, ensuring optimal reliability and efficiency across production lines. Your role involves overseeing maintenance operations, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and collaborating on new projects. With a focus on leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and experience in union environments, you'll play a pivotal role in minimizing downtime and contributing to company success.

Job Duties:
  • Supervise maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and feedback.
  • Plan and prioritize maintenance tasks to minimize disruptions to production schedules.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.
  • Conduct regular inspections to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to minimize production interruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and manage inventory.
  • Evaluate external contractors for specialized maintenance projects.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure the availability of spare parts and supplies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in a Production or Manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience in a unionized environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of machines, tools, and maintenance principles.
  • Understanding of business and management principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Solid grasp of safety regulations and the ability to promote a culture of safety.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Flexibility to work off-hours or on-call for emergency repairs.
