Eagle Eye Produce is a premiere grower shipper with more than 30,000 acres under cultivation.  We grow in multiple states in the United States as well as several locations in Mexico.  Our focus is to provide our customers with a year-round supply of the products we grow.  These items include; several Potato varieties including organics, Onions, Watermelon and Nogales Vegetables (Tomatoes, Peppers, Squash, Cucumbers). Position Summary:   

The Key Account Representative is responsible for developing customer relations, interacting with the customer, completing agreements, being a source of information, and making sure to resolve problems. Key Account Representatives are the face of the company and should always maintain public relations etiquette.

Experience: 

  • Minimum Education Required:  High School diploma or equivalent  
  • Experience Required:  1 – 3 years sales background. 

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Plan and organize daily work schedule to work closely with and service existing accounts by submitting consistent weekly price lists, obtaining orders, ensuring on time arrival of product that meets the needs of the customer while maintaining a high level of service that allows us to strengthen the relationship and continue receiving new orders  
  • Monitor regional market pricing by checking what other shippers are charging to ensure our customers are priced correctly   
  • Strategize and develop sales action plans to grow the business with each customer by adding new items or increasing volume on items we are already selling them   
  • Facilitate and complete any new contract requests, ad requests or pricing structure changes  
  • Forecast production needs and work closely with supply team to ensure 100% coverage of orders; purchase produce for orders from other shippers as needed   
  • Identify new product and market opportunities and find ways to capitalize on them  
  • Manage freight to ensure delivered customer needs are met by maintaining competitive freight rates year-round, ensuring complete carrier coverage during normal business, as well as ad periods and tracking truck progress and loading/unloading appointments to ensure on time, in-full arrivals  
  • Resolve all claims or problem orders in an efficient and timely manner to ensure the needs of the customer are met, as well as a quick resolution for the shippers and growers that support the customer  
  • Validate rejections and/or product complaints with the customer and find the best possible solution to ensure all parties needs are met and each party is treated fairly  
  • Find timely and effective disposition of any rejected product  
  • Work closely with our suppliers to make any corrective actions needed in order to mitigate our risk   
  • Complete and present all final settlements to warehouse representatives  
  • Ensure that all trouble files are settled within a reasonable time frame with a maximum of 35 days  
  • Maintain a leading-edge awareness of the changing business and market trends in the industry by attending workshops, studying published materials, and communicating with other individuals in the produce industry to be aware of upcoming changes and share this knowledge with the sales staff to ensure that we stay ahead of the competition  
  • Operate within a budget established by the company  
  • Manage Laserfiche invoicing discrepancies and adjust accordingly  
  • Attend and/or assist with any tradeshows or supplier meetings as requested by the customer and approved by the Director of Sales  
  • Ensure collection of all accounts receivables in a timely manner keeping each customer’s account within established credit limits  
  • Ensure that all grower product is sold in a timely manner  
  • Cover other Key Account Representatives in their absence  
  • Other essential duties as required by business needs  

  

 Travel: 

  • Some travel may be required to meet with customers and for industry related meetings, etc.
