Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Associate has primary responsibility for ensuring the orderly operation of an effective dry storage department through his/her use of accurate carton inventory management and efficient rotation of product. Responsibilities include; receiving carton loads (unloading, sorting, stacking), dry storage delivery appointments, keeping the dry warehouse clean and orderly, pulling product for future production days, inventory management, and more.

• Always ensure that the processing room is supplied with packaging as needed.
• Track carton loss, and reason of loss.
• Operate powered forklift in safe and competent manner.
• Manage and rotate inventory on FIFO basis.
• Oversee schedule for packaging deliveries.
• Confirm physical count received matches the BOL count. If not, notify the purchasing department.
• Complete food safety forms as required.
• Follow Westfield’s food safety policies when receiving packaging.
• Load packaging shipments as needed.
• Pallets must be clean and in good repair.
• Maintain packaging storage warehouses and storage trailers in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Oversee that all carton loads are un-loaded and stacked in a timely manner.
• Jockey storage trailers.
• Load and unload storage trailers as needed and ensure the items in trailers are accounted for correctly.
• Keep dry storage warehouse clean and orderly with no spilled, damaged, or exposed product.
• Seal trailers when they are put onto the trailer lot to ensure inventory count is correct and inventory remains untampered with.
• Assist in egg production room or finished and nest run cooler when requested by Operations Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Basic food safety training.
• Jack and Forklift training.
• Organizational skills.
