CDL Driver and Construction Equipment and Tooling Coordinator

Rice Lake West, a general contractor building water and wastewater treatment facilities, has an immediate opening for someone with a general construction or construction supply/rental employee/technician background to oversee our regional yard/shop.

Construction Yard Tooling and Equipment Coordinator

Assist in the day-to-day operation and organization of the company’s regional yard and shop areas.  Duties include:

• Organizing and tracking small tools and equipment inventory
• Maintaining and inspecting tools and equipment
• Coordinating repair of tools and equipment when necessary
• Picking and filling orders from jobsite superintendents
• Loading and unloading trucks or trailers
• General construction yard maintenance
• Washing, servicing, and maintaining tools and equipment
• Moving equipment and tools to and from the yard and jobsite locations throughout the Denver area and the Front Range
• Writing purchase requisitions and coordinating orders with Tooling Manager
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge

General knowledge of construction means and methods, construction safety, gasoline engines and small electric power tools, light welding, load securement, and forklift or other construction equipment operation.

Work Experience

Construction laborer or construction supply/rental employee/technician.  Must have 2-3 years’ experience driving trucks of all sizes.

Education and Licensing

High school diploma/GED and clean driving record.  Must have Class A CDL and Health Card along with the ability to drive any size/type truck.

Personal Traits

Must be punctual, self-motivated, and able to work safely alone or in groups in all weather conditions.

Computer Skills

Should have general knowledge of Microsoft Office products like Excel and Word and be able to login/out of an ELD (electronic logbook). The company will train on other software as needed.
