Position Summary

The Windward FOH Team Member is responsible for the service of Windward and Patio Bar food and beverage items (including alcohol), as well as for the cleanliness of the Windward and Patio, according to local health department, 6PM Hospitality’s, and Hilton standards, as well as going above and beyond to ensure that guests are 100% satisfied.

Essential Functions:

  • Report to work in uniform, presented neat and clean
  • Greet all guests in a friendly, positive manner. Ask questions of guests and make personal connections to make them feel they are welcome and valued
  • Anticipate and meet the needs and expectations of our guests, then go one step further
  • Inspect section prior to dinner rush (wipe tables, clean window sills, clean table bases, wipe chairs, clean and fill salt & pepper shakers, clean floor)
  • Roll Silverware
  • Take room service orders and deliver them to guests
  • Obtain orders from guests ensuring accuracy
  • Ensure all guests ordering alcoholic beverage have proper ID, are over 21 years of age, and that drinks are not served to intoxicated patrons
  • Verify accuracy of the bill, and present to the guest
  • Handle all cash and credit card charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures
  • Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as possible, but also follow the guidelines by taking charge of the issue and offering solutions
  • Complete assigned shift duties
  • Pre-bus tables/ Dishwashing
  • Run food and help others when able
  • Complete closing shift work/ Opening shift work
  • Bartend when necessary
  • Prepare all required items according to make sheets/recipes
  • Set up service units with needed items
  • Service items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards
  • Notify the Windward FOH Lead or MOD of expected shortages
  • Ensure that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary
  • Servers on staff as required by demand
  • Requisition items needed to produce menu items
  • Adhere to local health and safety regulations
  • Maintain any logs required by the health department
  • Cover, date, and neatly store all leftover products that are reusable
  • Maintain the highest sanitary standards
  • Follow all 6PM Hospitality’s Processes
  • Exhibit regular and recurrent attendance records
  • Other duties as requested by management

Position Requirements:

Minimum Knowledge: Requires ability to interpret / extract information and / or perform arithmetic functions. May require typing, basic computer knowledge, record keeping, or word processing. Good communication skills

Formal Education and Job-Related Experience:

License, Training, and/or Certification Required: TIPS, TAM and ServSafe Certification (may be completed upon hire)

External and Internal Personal Contact:

Communications: Daily-Verbal & Written

Participation in meetings as required

Teamwork and Collaboration: This job is part of a formal work team within the department

Manual Skills: Some portions (10-50%) of daily assignments involve application of manual skills requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterity, e.g., typing, handwriting, or machine operations

Physical Effort: Significant portions (more than 50%) of daily assignments involve prolonged standing, transporting material or equipment, or lifting, moving, or carrying heavy (over 30 pounds) materials for intermittent periods throughout the day

Physical Environment: Significant portions (more than 50%) of daily assignments involve exposure to dirt, odors, noise, or temperature / weather extremes. Working surfaces may be un-level, slippery, or unstable

Work Schedule: Work regularly requires or varies between day, evening, night, holiday, and weekend assignments. Schedule varies according to business demands and needs

Occupational Risks: Significant portions (more than 50%) of daily assignments involve occupational risk, such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, injuries from falls, or back injury sustained with assisting in moving, lifting, or positioning equipment or materials

Ergonomics Risks: Significant portions (more than 50%) of daily assignments involve ergonomic risk, such as regular repetitive tasks, forceful or prolonged exertions of the hands, vibration, cold temperatures, and heavy lifting, pulling, pushing, or carrying of heavy objects, poor body mechanics, restrictive workstations, or awkward postures

Safety: Responsible for adhering to all safety policies and procedures of 6PM Hospitality Partners, LLC

Required Travel: Position does not require travel to other 6PM Hospitality Partners, LLC properties or client locations. Work is completed on the property

Uniform and Appearance Guidelines:

Uniform: Uniform shirt and name tag provided. 6PM Hospitality’s approved black slacks or Dockers (no yoga-style) and black, close-toed, non-slip shoes are the responsibility of the Team Member.
