Job Description
We are seeking a motivated leader to join our PR - Pearl River site's Operation Management team based in Bay St Louis, MS. The ideal candidate for the Utilities Operations Manager uses their strong leadership and communication skills to foster a continuous improvement culture, monitors and achieves production KPIs, and maintains a safe working environment.    ResponsibilitiesThe Utilities Operations Manager will be reportable to the Site Director and have responsibilities for the following tasks:
  • Plan, set direction and establish priorities to effectively manage day-to-day utilities operations using established systems and procedures. 
  • Identify and implement effective operations strategies, tools, and best practices. Implement actions to improve productivity and compliance to departmental goals. 
  • Develop annual budget and manage cost to meet operating budget objectives and lower conversion cost. 
  • Drive continuous improvement in all areas of operations including safety, operations, quality, and cost. 
  • Provide leadership and professionally manage operations area direct reports. 
  • Perform evaluations with feedback and manage training and skills progression programs. 
  • Drive behavior based safety culture and promote healthy, clean and good working environment.
Required Skills
  • 5 years of practical experience in manufacturing
  • Accredited 4-year university degree required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Experience managing a chemical, utilities, or manufacturing area desired
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Self-motivated, organized and able to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Desire to work in a hands-on environment
