GUEST SERVICES AGENT at the RUSTY PARROT LODGE 


About the Position 

The Guest Service Agent position covers many disciplines including Front Desk, Concierge, Reservations and, when needed, Valet, Bell and food service duties. The GSA also includes periodically acting as a scheduled Manager on Duty.   


Qualifications and Skills  

The Guest Service Agent is the face of our iconic lodge, setting the tone for our guests’ experience from the first interaction. You are a customer-centric person who intuitively anticipates guest needs, goes the extra mile, manages complaints with grace, and finds problem solving a joy. You are a deep well of resources and have an uncanny ability to remember names and details, taking the guest experience to the next level. You are a master of the classic responsibilities in a guest services role and seamlessly transition into the role as a concierge. Professionalism, patience, efficiency, attention to detail, communication and collaboration are paramount. 

 

Core Responsibilities 

  • Assist guests with check-in & check-out 
  • Provide ideas and book adventures in a manner that exceeds guest expectations 
  • Assigning rooms and taking care of administrative tasks 
  • Being a one-of-a-kind source of information to guests on various matters such as transportation, activities and restaurants 
  • Deal with reasonable complaints and requests with professionalism, patience and grace 
  • Assisting other departments in any task that may make guest stays even more memorable 
  • Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety 
  • Complete checklists assigned to the appropriate shift 
  • Assist in streamlining inter-departmental communication and follow-up expeditiously 

 

Requirements

  • Ability to work quickly without compromising quality 
  • Excellent verbal and written skills 
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
