Rotating Equipment Mechanic

A. Field Service – perform duties in the field at client’s plant sites – dispatched Service work

B. Shop Service – performs duties at MRS service center when not dispatched

Summary/Objective
Technician position is multi craft in truest sense. Responsible for but not limited to performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Essential Functions

1. Perform highly diversified duties to install and/or maintain Pumps, Gearboxes, Blowers, Heat Exchangers and other possible specialty plant equipment. Intimate knowledge via training and experience with the mechanical working of said equipment

2. Provide both planned and unplanned emergency/unscheduled support concerning the repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

3. Perform some millwright installation duties and responsibilities.

4. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, centrifugal, pneumatic, hydraulic pump and systems troubleshooting and repair of equipment and or plant fluid handling systems.

5. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

6. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

7. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, components, equipment and plant facilities.

8. Perform a variety of Industrial Process system maintenance and evaluate proper system functions.

9. Use a variety of precision, hand, power tools, testing meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.

10. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

11. Comply with safety regulations.
