Job Description


Reports to the Store Manager/Logistics Coordinator

The Lot Attendant’s role consists of 3 main functions:  Enhancing Our Team, Serving Our Customers and Achieving Financial Goals.  Each of these functions require different skills and time spent in each area but are equally important parts of being on the Bortnick Team.


Enhancing Our Team

  • Acts friendly and respectfully to all Team Members.
  • Maintains lot cleanliness and organization.
  • Keeps service shop, service pad, and drains clean daily, or more frequently as needed.
  • Pulls Service/Set-Up equipment requested and moves to Service/Set-Up staging areas.
  • Cleans preservice units to be ready for technicians.
  • Cleans and details serviced units.
  • Conducts minor equipment work as needed and assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Serving Our Customers

  • Aids in the loading/unloading of equipment customers are picking up/dropping off.
  • Performs basic PDIs on incoming/outgoing equipment. 
  • Keeps accurate records of pick-ups and deliveries and obtains necessary receipts and signatures as requested.


Achieving Financial Goals

  • Loads truck safely and efficiently to avoid any damage to merchandise/equipment.
  • Reports any known mechanical failure or accident, regardless of size, involving company equipment to the supervisor.
  • Collects and securely delivers Receipts of COD orders to the Parts Department.
  • Observes all safety and security procedures, reporting any unsafe conditions.
  • Assists with snow/ice removal as needed.
