Job Description
Worldwide Aircraft Services, Inc. is an FAA Approved Repair Station seeking an experienced, reliable, friendly, professional Senior Buyer.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Senior Buyer will be responsible for the daily Repair Station purchasing activity and rotable component management. Assist the Inventory Control Manager with management of the buyer(s) staff and general oversight of the operations of the parts department, including the stockroom and shipping/receiving. Providing the direction and leadership required to achieve professional part sales, parts processes, and customer service/customer satisfaction standards. Responsibilities will include vendor selection to acquire the required parts, hardware, and materials to support the Repair Station activity. Strong parts experience and managerial experience are required. The Senior Buyer will report directly to the Inventory Control Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- At the direction of the Inventory Control Manager assist in the supervision of the Parts personnel to ensure work is carried out in accordance with the Repair Station policies and procedures and that it is completed accurately and on time.
- Become proficient in the TFBO software.
- Develop Reporting as directed.
- Manage the implementation and usage of our Bar Code System in the Parts Department.
- Provide advice on the solution of specific purchasing problems and the training and guidance of personnel.
- Daily coordination with the Inventory Control Manager on priorities for parts needing to be ordered and placing in process for timely purchase.
- Oversee purchasing, returning, inventory control, and paperwork for the parts department as directed.
- Attending customer meetings as directed.
- Communicate with the Shop Manager or his delegate on the status of parts for active Work Orders.
- Quote customers and follow up on quote/sales opportunities, providing high-quality customer service and response.
- Negotiate with suppliers.
- Verify that correct procedures are being followed in the parts processing.
- Maintaining conformity with work rules, regulations, and safety procedures.
- Assist with overseeing and directing the organization of the parts room including the implementation of bin locations at Worldwide Aircraft Services.
- Provide backup for Parts personnel by fulfilling their function when they are away.
- Oversee the identifying, controlling, segregating, and maintaining of all stock and tools to a serviceable or unserviceable category as designated by the Chief Inspector.
- Verify the preservation of all articles or parts, while carried in inventory, including parts that are subject to deterioration and shelf-life specifications.
- Monitors appropriate parts inventory, stocking levels are maintained and identifies sources as necessary.
- Distribution to all pertinent departments any miscellaneous technical information, etc., which is received by the stockroom.
- Assist the Company accounts receivable/payables department in resolving invoicing issues associated with the Repair Station.
EXPERIENCE, SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE:
One to three year's experience in an inventory management or purchasing environment. Must have effective communication skills to interact with customers and staff. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others. Ability to prioritize and manage workloads. Computer literate must type 40 WPM, highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with experience in web-based aircraft parts databases. Operating other office equipment such as copy machines and/or printers. Aviation experience and direct aircraft parts sales are preferred.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
High School or GED equivalent education. Able to read, write, and use mathematics. Microsoft Office proficient. Good problem-solving skills with the ability to use initiative and common sense.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a background check.
Job Type: Full-Time, Monday through Friday 8:00 am / 5:00 pm

Starting - $19.00 ph., negotiable, based on experience.
