FSD Supervisor - Commercial Construction Supervisor (Facility Service Division)

As part of our Facility Service Division, we are seeking a skilled and experienced supervisor to join our team.
 
JOB SUMMARY:
As a Facility Service Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing construction projects within commercial and industrial facilities. This role requires a hands-on approach, as you will be responsible for supervising and, at times, performing skilled labor tasks to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
 
DUTIES:
  • Project Planning and Coordination:
    • Collaborate with project managers, trade contractors, and clients to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
    • Coordinate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to ensure timely project completion.
    • Conduct site assessments and evaluations to identify project requirements and potential challenges.
  • Supervision and Leadership:
    • Lead other skilled tradespeople, trade contractors, and other personnel, providing guidance, support, and direction throughout the project.
    •  Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring each team member understands their responsibilities and objectives.
    • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and excellence within the team.
  • Construction Execution:
    • Perform skilled construction tasks as needed, including carpentry, interior finishes, etc.
    • Ensure adherence to project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
    • Monitor safety, quality, progress, and productivity, implementing corrective actions as necessary to maintain project timelines and standards.
  • Communication and Reporting:
    • Maintain open and effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, trade contractors, and internal teams.
    • Provide regular progress updates, reports, and documentation as required.
    • Address any issues or concerns promptly, seeking solutions to ensure project success.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
    • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets company standards and client expectations.
    • Remain up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to commercial construction.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven experience in commercial construction, with a focus on facility services.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency in various construction trades, including carpentry, concrete, MEP trades, and more.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Additional certification or training in construction management or related field (preferred).
