Job Summary: Legacy at College Hill is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bath Aide to join our team. As a Bath Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized care and assistance to residents during their bathing and grooming routines. The ideal candidate will hold a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license and possess strong communication skills along with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of resident care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with their bathing, showering, and grooming needs according to their individual care plans and preferences.
- Ensure residents' safety and comfort during bathing and grooming activities, maintaining a respectful and dignified approach at all times.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to coordinate bathing schedules and ensure timely completion of bathing routines for all residents.
- Observe and report any changes in residents' skin condition, mobility, or overall well-being to the nursing team.
- Assist residents with dressing and grooming as needed, providing support with selecting clothing and accessories.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in bathing areas, ensuring supplies are stocked and equipment is properly sanitized after each use.
- Provide compassionate assistance to residents who may require additional support or reassurance during bathing and grooming activities.
- Respect residents' privacy and confidentiality, adhering to all HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices in resident care.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for residents, families, and fellow team members, promoting a culture of dignity, respect, and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a long-term care or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for elderly residents.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of proper hygiene practices and techniques for assisting with bathing and grooming.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
