Project Engineer Intern

Job Description

The Project Engineer Intern is responsible for supporting the office and are primarily clerical in nature, requiring some jobsite responsibilities.

  • Understand and comply with all WPI policies, procedures, and corporate safety program.
  • Actively participate in the safety plans and measures of the assigned projects.
  • Assist Project Manager and/or Estimator in day-to-day duties.
  • Assist in maintaining proper logs of each project to include daily reports, EWA logs, and weekly production reports for the Project Manager and/or Estimator.
  • Support and visit assigned job sites and participate in job meetings as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of project submittals, changes orders, RFI's etc. as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Assist in the review and distribution of all incoming correspondence related to the project.
  • Develop skills in various programs including: Viewpoint, Onscreen Take-Off, Quick-Bid, and the Microsoft Suite.

Requirements

Basic Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Business, Accounting, or related field.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills is required.
  • Ability to multitask, think critically, and problem-solve is required.
  • Must possess strong organizational and computer use skills and have a high level of competency to read/write/speak English and communicate with coworkers.

  • Local to office is preferred
