Job Description

We are looking for motivated individual that will enjoy working in a church environment, have the flexibility to work occasionally Sundays and comply with the qualifications, to fill porter and custodian position, performing light maintenance, general cleaning, setups/teardowns and other facilities duties at a Church in Franklin TN.

Job Responsibilities:

• Basic cleaning tasks include but not limited to: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, picking up debris from grounds, floor and carpet maintenance.
• Event set-ups and housekeeping tasks include, but not limited to receiving and organizing delivery of packages, moving furniture around campus, setting up and striking events functions, moving tables and chairs.
• Light maintenance tasks include, but not limited to change light bulbs, HVAC filters, and basic routine inspections
  
  

Pay rate: $19/hr  

Hours: 40 hours per week

• Monday through Fridays (from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm)
• occasionally Sundays when required

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• Commercial cleaning experience (school, church or offices)
• Ability to stand, walk, push carts for long periods of time, frequently bending, climbing, and lifting, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of basic computer and smartphone technology (filling electronic timesheets)
• Must have a valid driver's license and own transportation (job requires to work in two close locations)
• Shows proficient English Language communications skills (writing and speaking)
• Must be willing to work flexible hours (morning and weekends).
• Can pass TBI criminal background check required to work in educational facilities with children present.

Physical:

• This employment expects about 90% indoor - 10% outdoor work and typically requires: long periods of standing, walking, lifting, climbing ladders, reaching, and repetitive movement.
