Metro Services is hiring Block Machine Operators/Line Leads for a Block company in Winchester, TN. This is a temp-to-direct position. Apply Now!
Duties for this position include:
- Continually monitor block machine, batching system, green block conveyors, and other nearby equipment operations to detect and report malfunctions
- Perform/assist with maintenance or set up procedures as needed
- Make minor machine adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy
- Maintain standard production rates, low waste and meet all stated customer requirements
- Perform various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines
- Complete quality control checks as required and complete documentation
- Inspect parts to specifications and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Assist the manager with supervising the production team to ensure they are performing their duties efficiently
- Assist other positions within the plant as needed
- Perform other functions and duties as required or directed, such as assisting with maintenance and repair of machinery, cleaning mixer and hoppers, and other production equipment
- Assist with training of new employee
Compensation (USD):
$18.00/hour
Schedule:
Monday - Friday
6:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
or
Monday - Thursday
6:00 p.m. - 5:30 a.m.
Depends on the seasons
Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Pass Drug screen/Background Check
- Steel-toe Shoes mandatory
- Dress Code seasonal
- Push/Pull up to 50 lbs.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand 8+ hours per day
- Able to climb, stoop, and squat
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
