3rd Shift Quality Control Technician

As aQC Technician,working onsite in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you will validate finished good properties of wet samples that come into QC and prepare those samples for spray testing. You are responsible for property testing that is reported to the customer and is important for accurate performance of the coating.

This position reports to the onsite QC Lab Supervisor onsite in Grand Haven, Mi.

Responsibilities:

• Wet property testing of samples; i.e. viscosity, pH and resistivity and similar testing
• Reduction of batch samples for spray-outs
• Hand spray panels for defect analysis
• Low level analytical testing of intermediates
• Data Collection, Reporting, and Analysis
• Communicate timely with other team members, stakeholders, and leadership
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Conduct yourself in all manner with safety in mind, follow safety protocols, where needed wear appropriate PPE, and report any safety issues immediately.

**Qualifications - Internal

**

Qualifications:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Previous Quality Control experience is preferred.
• Experience with paint/coating testing is preferred.
• College chemistry and math, but basic knowledge of mathematics and scientific principles required.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as used in a lab such as: Micrometers, calipers, pipette, dippers, tubes, or other apparatus.
• Record information in documentation and Excel.
• Must be able to work 3rd shift: M,T,W,Th 8pm-630am with OT on Fridays as needed/when available.

Salary info:

$20 - $22 / hr
