Manual Machinist, Up to $28/hr - 1st Shift - North Charleston, SC
Local machine shop is looking for a rockstar Manual Machinist. Is that you? If so, apply now!

*This is not a CNC machinist position - NO CNC work*
*Background friendly*
*MUST have experience to apply!! - No training involved*
Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints to plan setup and operation of all types of machine shop machine tools
  • Makes repair parts as per drawings, sketches, or samples
  • Makes prototypes assemblies where parts have to be machined and fitted to obtain proper and expected operations
Skills:
  • 2 or more years experience in the trade, completion of a formal apprenticeship program, trade school, or military service school for machinists
  • Prior experience with power-driven equipment
  • Close attention and care is required to prevent damage to complex machine tools
  • High mental and visual effort is required
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
For this position, you will use a full range of precision measuring tools; set up and operate lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine shop related equipment; able to manufacture close tolerance machine parts from blueprints or verbal instructions.
