Tool Machinist
$19.00 / an hour + based on experience.
Alsip, IL
Hours: 1st shift 7 am to 3:30 pm M - F
We are seeking a skilled Tool Machinist to join our client’s team in Alsip, IL. You will play a key role in our manufacturing department by fabricating, maintaining, and repairing precision tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment.
- Perform machining operations to fabricate tooling components with precision.
- Maintain and repair existing tools, dies, and fixtures as needed.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot issues with tooling or machining processes and implement corrective actions.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of machining operations and quality inspection data.
Qualifications or Requirements:
- Experience with a variety of machine tools and machining techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Knowledge of materials and machining properties.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.
