Job Description
1st Shift Tool & Die Technician
Location: Bridgman, MI
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, with overtime as needed
Hourly Rate: Dependent upon experience
Summary:
Local company seeking a skilled Tool & Die Technician on 1st shift. The Tool & Die Technician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and fabricating tooling and dies to support production operations. If you have experience in tool and die maintenance and a strong mechanical aptitude, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity.
Responsibilities:
  • Tool & Die Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and modifications on tooling and dies to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with tooling and dies to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Fabrication: Fabricate new tooling and dies as needed using manual and CNC machining equipment.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished tooling and dies to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, modifications, and inspections.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with production teams and other technicians to address tooling and die-related issues and support production goals.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Tool & Die Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in machining and fabrication techniques.
  • Knowledge of tool and die design principles and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
