Description


The CTE Enrollment Coach guides prospective Career and Technical Education students through the admissions process of educational and technical programs. The Enrollment Coach acts as a liaison between the prospective students and the enrollment team, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all applicants.

Travel will be required, as this position will work on both the Gloucester and Cumberland Campuses.

Examples of Duties


  • Guides prospective Career & Technical Education (CTE) students through the enrollment process and assists with inquiries about the college, according to the established guided pathways to success model.
  • Guides CTE students from the application process through testing, registration, and payment.
  • Works collaboratively with various areas within Student Services, and other College departments, to provide accurate information to applicants to address any barriers to entry.
  • Assists prospective students in understanding the application process, required documents, and deadlines.
  • Provides detailed information about various CTE programs, including curriculum, admission requirements, and career prospects.
  • Addresses inquiries related to eligibility criteria, financial assistance options, and scholarship opportunities.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of virtual and in person information sessions geared towards prospective CTE students, their families, and the community.
  • Maintains a regular outreach and follow-up schedule with CTE prospective students.
  • Assists with maintaining CTE office correspondence.
  • Assists in collecting and evaluating CTE student transcripts, application review, and communication schedules.
  • Represents the CTE Division as a recruiter at on and off-campus events.
  • Enhances and educates high school and community partners on CTE programs and opportunities.
  • Communicates pathways to CTE program completion and stackable credential options.
  • Manages and responds to the online inquiries about CTE programs.
  • Develops and implements ongoing communication plans to prospective and applied CTE students through text messaging, email, and phone outreach.
  • Collects and maintains data for reports to the CTE Director
  • Collaborates with College Recruitment Department to attend events representing CTE.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Fluency in Spanish language preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
  • Three years’ experience in a related professional office or customer service environment required. Prior experience in higher ed or educational setting preferred.
  • Experience in academic and/or career and technical education
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner, Anthology, or similar ERP system preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Access
  • Ability to travel to multiple educational institutions, utilizing personal vehicle for
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with varied hours, including nights and weekends, to meet department and College needs
  • Possess the ability to work well and communicate effectively with prospective and current students, staff, faculty, administration, and colleagues and community partners
  • Demonstrated cultural competence, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff and a commitment to a student-centered environment
