Human Resources (HR) Assistant

Robert Half currently has a fabulous opportunity for a highly-skilled and motivated Human Resources Assistant. The Human Resources Assistant will be in control of a wide variety of assignments, including owning a number of different personnel related administrative tasks and providing clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. This opening is with an organization in the Bakersfield, California area.

Major responsibilities

- Oversee office and administrative tasks

- Review the internet to locate potential customers

- Manage employee database records

- Assist with planning new employee orientation meetings

- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and disseminating information

- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired

- Able to maintain an approachable and appropriate attitude when interacting with all levels of personnel in a rapidly changing environment

- Deep understanding of Onboarding

- Solid understanding of Corporate Recruiting

- Diversity Recruitment experience

- Full Cycle Recruiting experience highly desired

- Candidate Selection experience

- Capable in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)

- At least 2+ years of HR related experience desired

- Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
