Hiring: Full-Time School Social Worker for Elementary Case Load

Position Title: School Social Worker (Full Time)

Duration: Remainder of the 2023/2024 School Year, with potential renewal for the 2024/2025 year based on performance.

Location: Detroit, MI

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Social Worker to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing social work services to elementary school students within our district. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elementary-aged children and hold a Master's degree from a graduate school of social work program. Additionally, candidates must possess either SSW-310 Authorization for School Social Work or MDE School Social Worker Credential.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to elementary students.
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support students' academic and social-emotional success.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
• Connect students and families with munity resources and support services as needed.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in pliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate program.
• Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred.
• SSW-310 Authorization for School Social Work OR MDE School Social Worker Credential required.
• Strong interpersonal and munication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
