Test Engineer

Summary: Seeking a Test Engineer with a strong background in systems or structures testing and design, CAD modelling, and fixture design and analysis.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in systems or structures testing or design

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering discipline from ABET, or equivalent, accredited institution

• Proficiency in CAD Modelling - 3DX or CATIA v5 required

• Experience with structural or systems testing

• Knowledge in fixture design and analysis

• Familiarity with composites and metallic primary structures

• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• Must be U.S. Persons as defined by the ITAR (22 CFR ?120.15)

• Experience using PXI, cDAQ NI Hardware

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Fatigue & Damage Tolerance analysis

• Prior experience performing liaison / MRB activities in aerospace stress applications

• Experience with manufacturing-based ERP systems, such as Oracle

• Experience with the design of flight vehicles or vehicle systems to a set of requirements or standards such as CFR 14, Part 400, Part 23 and 25, military or NASA

Responsibilities:

• Design Iron Bird Lab then transition into test execution phase.

• Develop tests plans for validation of complex mechanical components.

• Write test plans and procedures to define execution of tests.

• Interface with internal customers to establish specific test requirements.

• Work with support teams to procure test stand hardware.

• Collaborate with supply chain team for outside contracts.

• Participate in the review and release process. Ensure durability, reliability, safety of assigned scope.

 

 Pay: 63-84

Pay Details: $63.00 to $84.00 per hour
