About the Company and Accounting Clerk Opportunity:

  • Our client is a boutique accounting firm located in Harford County providing retirement, estate and tax planning services. Due to growth, our client is hiring an Accounting Clerk to work onsite in their office in Forest Hill, MD.
  • The Accounting Clerk will work with a small team and handle job duties from filing to working on state and federal taxes. Company provides in depth training for new employees
  • Schedule: VERY flexible schedule. Open to part time or full time schedule between 9am-5pm M-F
  • Pay is flexible depending on experience

Job Duties of the Accounting Clerk:

  • Categorize expenses from bank statements, make entries into spreadsheets, verify account numbers are correct
  • Assist with processing payroll for clientele

Ideal Candidate for the Accounting Clerk Position:

  • Ability to work with peers, staff and management in a team-oriented environment
  • Reliable and flexible
  • Patient, able to slow down and analyze things
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills

Qualifications for the Accounting Clerk:

  • Degree NOT required
  • Basic understanding of accounting, debits and credits, and state and federal taxes
  • Strong computer literacy and office etiquette
  • Must be proficient with Excel
  • Clean background check and drug screen required
