Bilingual Therapies is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team in Cannon Beach, Oregon. This role presents a unique opportunity to provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments in various educational settings.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized instruction to students who are blind, experiencing vision loss, or have other visual impairments, employing specialized methods and materials to foster academic and functional skills development.
• Conduct comprehensive vision assessments and collaborate with educational teams to design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet students' specific needs.
• Modify educational resources and technology to accommodate students' visual impairments, including proficiency in braille.
• Foster collaboration among teachers, support staff, and families to establish inclusive learning environments and enhance students' independence and achievements.

Requirements:

• Possess a Master's degree in Education of the Visually Impaired or a related field.
• Hold Oregon state certification or meet eligibility requirements for certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
• Demonstrate proficiency in braille and other specialized instructional techniques for students with visual impairments.
• Previous experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired in educational settings is preferred.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
