Are you a passionate Special Education Teacher looking to join a team that facilitates you in making progress with your students? We believe that at our school, the only way to help our students is by first setting our teachers up for success, by providing them with the proper tools, an adequate amount of time to work with each student or group, and the freedom to collaborate with the special education department to better instill creative methods to effectively teach students.

Join our growing team in a full-time Special Education Teacher role this upcoming school year!

Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by state laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
  • Prepare, administer, and grade tests, assignments, and assessments to evaluate students progress.
  • Instruct students through a variety of ways, including lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.
  • Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate these objectives clearly and effectively to students.
  • Enforce all administrative policies and rules governing students.
  • Attend professional development meetings, educational conferences, and teach-training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence.
  • Administer standardized ability and achievement tests and interpret results to determine standard strengths and areas of need.
  • Hold student-parent conferences to discuss students progress and determine priorities and resource needs.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students diverse needs and interests.
  • Participate in the IEP program, developing, modifying, and updating student IEPs.
  • Discuss students progress with their other teachers.


Required Licenses & Certifications:

  • Moderate Severe Credentials
  • Active State of California Special Education Credential


Job Type: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)
Work Location: In-person
Compensation: $50/hr - $60/hr depending on experience, Benefits, and 401k Match Plan
