Cost Accounting Manager plays a crucial role in this manufacturing organization by analyzing and evaluating pricing and costing systems for goods and services. Here are the key responsibilities and requirements for this position:
Responsibilities:
Cost Allocation: The Cost Accounting Manager ensures that costs related to the company’s products and services are allocated according to corporate procedures and comply with financial accounting standards.
Cost Control: Oversee cost control systems, manage and interpret cost audits, and prepare cost accounting reports for presentation to top management.
Historical Data Analysis: Gather historical cost data (including materials, labor, depreciation, and operating expenses), compare budgets with actual expenses.
Project Management: Lead and teach staff to complete cost projects efficiently.
Reporting: Prepare financial records and budgets, tracking department or product expenditures.
Requirements:
Education: A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent is required.
Experience: Around 5 years of experience in a related area as an individual contributor.
Reporting Structure: The Cost Accounting Manager reports to the ControllerCost Accounting, Standard Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Cost Accounting, Month End Close, Variance Analysis, Overhead Rates, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), Bill of materials (BOM), Baan, Oracle, Internal Audit, Cost Allocation, Cost Analysis, Return on Investment
