Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (state-specific)
• Demonstrated experience working with students with diverse learning needs
• Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and other special education processes
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create and implement differentiated instruction
• Understanding of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to special education (e.g., IDEA)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Provide direct instruction to students with diverse learning needs, adapting curriculum as necessary
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure the inclusion and success of students with disabilities in the general education setting
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, administrators, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and individualized learning plans
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student performance and progress towards IEP goals
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current on best practices in special education
