About the Role: We are looking for a Calibration and Tooling Scheduling Planner to join our Shop Services Team. In this role you will coordinate calibration and tooling work with customers, technicians, and offsite vendors to ensure all work documented and completed on time. Standard hours will be Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.

This role will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland.

Responsibilities:
  • Be an initial point of contact for our customers across regions and during primary manufacturing shifts
  • Ensure Quality System compliance as it relates to Calibration and Machining Function documentation in accordance with regulations; 21CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, etc
  • Coordinate calibration/ tooling work with large customer base, i.e., Engineering, Leadership, Purchasing, and Vendors (when applicable), with the dual purpose of maximizing schedule efficiency and minimizing impact to customer, and ensure product teams have proper tooling inventory
  • Work with Tool/Tooling Champions to develop processes for supporting the removal, repair/calibration, and return of calibrated tools and tooling to customers
  • Complete work on time and per quality system requirements in the work order management system (MPD EAM)
  • Create, track, and trend metrics that will drive and increase efficiencies
  • Communicate with Calibration and Machining Function Leadership consistently for updates, changes, improvements.
  • Maintain compliance with training expectations as required for this position
  • Meet additional responsibilities as required within the scope of position


Required Qualifications:
  • 2 year technical degree with a minimum of 3 years scheduler, planner or project management experience OR a minimum of 5 years experience in a skilled trades role supporting manufacturing equipment
  • Experience effectively complete tasks both independently and as a team member, while working towards team established goals
  • Knowledgeable of machine shop practices
  • Knowledge of calibration related regulations, standards, and guidance documents (eg. 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, NIST, etc)
  • Proficient in using computer programs such as asset management systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc)
  • Communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task under pressure
  • Ability to drive change and consistency across teams
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask, as well as setting and meeting aggressive timelines
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and off-shift hours to meet business and customer needs


Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a regulated industry
  • Proficient in the utilization of calipers, micrometers, various inspection tools, optical measuring devices and experience reading mechanical drawings
  • Experience with preventive maintenance/calibration management systems
