General Laborer - Durant, IA

Job Specifications:

Duties:
• Stacking bags of corn on pallets to match batch numbers for inventory purposes.
• Sort pallets to remove damaged or non-conforming pallets.
• Discarding corn and/or soybean bags by placing onto a conveyor.
• Follow direction of Supervisors for additional work duties that may be
necessary/required.
• Abide by lock out/tag out and other equipment safety policies/processes.
• Abide by safety policies/procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
while completing any work on property.
• Maintain cleanliness of work environment (sweeping, removing debris, etc.) in work area as
workload allows and as required.
• Report any accidents, near miss incidents, potential hazards, safety violations, or other concerns
to a Corteva leadership team member immediately.
• Participate in any incident/accident investigations with Safety/Supervisor
teams as necessary to find root cause of incidents.

Physical Task Requirements:
• Ability to climb and/or work in elevated areas; standing/sitting for extended periods; operating
machinery, repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting (minimum requirement 50 lbs.) exposure to
weather and environment conditions (e.g., heat, dust, cold)

Additional Details:
• Working conditions may include dust, debris, chaff, slippery surfaces, inclement weather, lifting,
automatic start-up of equipment, falling objects, low clearance equipment, conveyor tunnel, and
sun exposure.
• Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement of the position.
• Transportation to and from assignment location is the responsibility of the worker.
• Must abide by all safety rules.
• Cellular phones/mobile devices are not allowed in working areas during work time. Use is restricted to break area
during scheduled break time.
