Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Perform medical procedures under the supervision of a healthcare professional
- Assist with patient care and monitoring in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, assisted living facilities, and medical offices
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare providers
- Monitor vital signs and report any abnormalities to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with activities of daily living for patients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Document patient information accurately and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality care for patients
Skills:
- Experience in senior care, hospice care, or memory care is highly desirable
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic nature towards patients
