Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Zero Trust Engineer
Department: Veterans Affairs
Location: Remote

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Mature Cyber Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) to improve Vulnerability Threat Management capabilities.
  • Work with privacy data to increase Cloud application and infrastructure vulnerability scanning and reporting.
  • Assist in developing architecture for integrating findings into a centralized dashboard that allows product owners direct access to team’s specific systems or cloud account findings.
 Required Skills and Experience
  • IT experience with Cyber Security Policy and threat mitigation.
  • Must be well versed in Cyber Security Tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and secured networks.
  • Familiarity and experience in the implementation of cybersecurity regulations.
  • ZTA experience.
Professional CertificationsGlobal Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Essentials CertificationYears of Professional Experience10 years of relevant experienceDesired experienceRisk Management Framework (RMF), Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), and FedRAMP experience

Familiarity with: Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) frameworks, Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) (OKTA), Cloud Workload Protection Platform (CWPP), Security Operations Center (SOC) Operations, Vulnerability Threat Management, and ComplianceFormal EducationBachelor of Science degree (or higher) in one of the following: computer science, electronics engineering, computer engineering, computer science, information technology, or cybersecurity. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.Citizenship RequirementU.S. Citizenship required for this specific opportunitySecurity Clearance RequirementsMust possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI)CRITICAL NOTES:
