Position Overview

The Infinity’s Digital Engineering Solution (DES) Product Team and Innovation Team seek a qualified candidate to support the systems engineering design, development, and delivery of Infinity’s DES Product Line to various USSF, USAF and other DoD and federal stakeholders. The DES Product Line comprises software solutions that integrate data, models, and digital tools to accelerate decision advantage for operators and engineers. Emerging DES technologies include SysML model orchestration between MBSE tools and other software solutions for synchronized simulation, testing, and operations. The Digital Systems Engineer role provides digital engineering support for the product design lifecycle: defines and manages requirements, guides verification planning and execution, and provides hands-on product design using SysML and standard MBSE tools. This position will also support Digital Engineering (DE) related technical services leveraging the DES products to support customer objectives.


This position is suited for early to mid-career candidates. The level placement of the selected candidate will be Associate (IC2), Staff (IC3), or Senior Staff (IC4) based on the specific qualifications and previous relevant experience as outlined below. Those candidates qualified at the Associate (IC2) level will be expected to meet some or all of the minimum and preferred qualifications and possess 2+ years of relevant experience. Those candidates qualified at the Staff (IC3) level will be expected to meet some or all of the minimum and preferred qualifications and possess 4+ years of relevant experience. Those candidates qualified at the Senior Staff (IC4) level will be expected to meet most or all of the minimum and preferred qualifications and possess 6+ years of relevant experience.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the systems engineering design, verification, and validation of the DES products to multiple USSF, USAF, and other DoD customers.
  • Create Model-Based Systems Engineering models, including DES product models and Customer warfighting models that contain mission scenarios for simulation.
  • Provide excellent customer and DES product team engagement throughout the DES development lifecycle and identify system requirements and verification strategy.
  • Provide engineering and analysis services leveraging innovative digital thread orchestration technologies/tools for DoD customers.
  • Support company-wide DE and other training initiatives through mentoring other system engineers undergoing DE certification or supporting DE contract efforts.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with SysML, MBSE methods and tools, and overall Digital Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering disciplines, including requirements development, interface design, and verification and validation.
  • Ability to develop, model, and communicate mission CONOPS and Use Cases.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and using Scrum and Kanban boards.
  • Ability to collaborate positively in a team environment with people of different levels of experience and education and virtually in geographically disperse locations.
  • Ability to think critically to solve difficult problems using digital tools and methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient experience with SysML, MBSE tools, and overall Digital Engineering.
  • Experience with supporting software product design, verification, and validation.
  • Experience in creating executable MBSE models that integrate with analytical tools.
  • Experience performing analyses with M&S tools such as STK, GIANT, and/or AFSIM.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Javascript, Python, C++, C#, MATLAB, etc.).
  • Experience with requirements management systems such as DOORS
  • SCRUM Master training and/or direct experience working Agile programs


Education/Experience


A qualified bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training is required to fulfill this position.

2-12 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education, training, & experience is expected.
