The Brand Manager works directly with the sales staff to facilitate a highly professional approach with each client interaction from inception to delivery including greeting, deal structure, delivery and subsequent follow up on every deal.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED Post-sale relationship management

Prior finance or sales experience a plus Thorough understanding of vehicle financing

Professional appearance and disposition Productivity through time management

ADP/CDK experience a plus Comfort utilizing sales closing techniques

Effective relationship-building skills Demonstrate subject matter expertise

Strong communication skills; listening Extremely organized; perform under pressure

Valid California driver’s license; insurable Acquire California Car Salesperson license

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work directly with sales staff to facilitate a highly professional approach with each client interaction from inception to delivery including greeting; deal structure; delivery and subsequent follow up on every deal
  • Ensure compliance with consumer disclosure laws applicable to financial product and service providers, including Truth in Lending Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Rees-Levering Motor Vehicle Sales & Finance Act, and California’s Vehicle Leasing Act
  • Safeguard confidentiality of customer information by compliance with federal and state privacy and data protection laws, including: Fair Credit Reporting Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Fair & Accurate Credit Transactions Act, and Red Flags Rule
  • Ensure sales staff is fully up to date on all required training from dealer, manufacturers and lenders, such as Dealer Socket training
  • Maintain comprehensive, current knowledge of entire finance and insurance portfolio available to customers, including lease specials, finance rates, service contracts, prepaid maintenance, GAP insurance, tire & wheel protection, key replacement, interior & exterior protection, anti-theft products, lease damage waivers, engine warranties, and bundled ancillary products
  • Inventory control including moving aging inventory to minimize loss potential; ordering cars to maximize inventory mix; reviewing monthly trends to assess correct levels of new and used brand specific inventory requirements
  • Meet daily with sales and finance daily to discuss daily work plans and ensure that they have a defined work plan as well as monitor the progress of each individual. Conduct end of day checkout with individual salespersons
  • Educate and train sales team to facilitate highly professional approach with customer interactions related to initial greeting, deal structure, vehicle delivery, and subsequent follow-up on each deal
  • Educate and train sales managers on deals not reflecting dealer’s gross profit average as shown on its financial statement, including approval of deals prior to going into F&I dept. for contracting
  • Structure deals to maximize both sales and finance profitability, including educating and training sales team in presentation of the deal and subsequent handover to the F&I dept.
  • Assist GM and Marketing department on implementing ideas to keep the brand fresh and in the minds of our prospects and clients including monitoring sales; keeping up to date on industry changes; attending all brand specific events
  • Develop and maintain open communication with Regional Manager for the brand along with Captive Finance Regional managers, to help improve relationship for open dialogue when needed
  • Attend weekly Brand Manager meetings and monthly meeting with GM to review previous month business and collaborate on new month goals based on historical data
  • In addition to these responsibilities, Selling Brand Managers are also responsible to perform the duties as listed on the job description for the Automobile Salesperson, when selling a vehicle themselves
