Plant Reliability Engineer

Location: San Francisco, CA area

Description:

This opportunity is with a medium sized specialty chemical manufacturer located outside of San Francisco. The plant is PSM regulated, DCS controlled, with a very high standard of safety and overall housekeeping. Millions have been invested in the plant and more upgrades are planned into the future. The facility uses continuous operations to make products that go into the refining industry. The company is doing financially well and will continue to have steady business moving forward. Your primary focus will be overseeing reliability and maintenance initiatives, including predictive and preventive programs, along with a variety of projects. You'll collaborate closely with all other departments on-site to drive continuous improvement and process optimization. The experienced plant team provides an ideal environment for your growth as an engineer, offering opportunities to unlock new skills. You'll report directly to the Maintenance Manager, with comprehensive support from the Plant Manager, a Senior Engineer, an Operations Manager, and other technical personnel. Beyond base salary, the position offers a generous 10% annual bonus and a $10,000 cost-of-living allowance.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S. Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in a maintenance reliability role with predictive/preventative
  • Manufacturing background out of chemicals, oil & gas, pulp & paper, foods, pharma or closely related
  • Previous experience with fixed/rotating equipment, projects, PSM is ideal
