Job Description

Courier Newsroom is presently looking for an AI Product Manager who will be responsible for leveraging AI and machine learning to drive audience growth and engagement across our digital platforms. This role will focus on increasing and optimizing  digital content creation, website and SEO optimization, integration of audience insights to personalize user experiences and further development of AI in-house products.

Responsibilities

• Leverage AI and machine learning technologies across various aspects of content creation, distribution, and monetization
• Spearhead the implementation of AI-powered algorithms for content recommendation, enhancing user engagement and extending time spent on the platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate personalized recommendation technology
• Pioneer the integration of AI technologies into content creation workflows
• Work closely with newsrooms to enhance their use of AI tools, particularly focusing on automation exploring new avenues for content generation.
• Utilize AI to support the distribution of content across various platforms, including the reversioning of content for different mediums and platforms.
• Adopting Emerging AI Trends:
  • Monitor and implement emerging AI trends, such as enhancing content and ad personalization based on user preferences.
  • Contributed to the implementation of machine learning for contextual and personalized ad experiences, essential for targeting in a cookie-less future

The ideal candidate will have/be: 

• 4+ years of professional working experience in the media industry
• At least 2-3 years of recent, hands-on experience in leveraging AI for a media company
• Demonstrates a deep understanding of the AI & machine learning landscape within the media and technology industries.  
• Strong understanding of how content across different social channels and platforms can build and grow a brand
• Must have experience using audience insights and digital content analytics tools and a deep understanding of engagement metrics and audience growth strategies
• Ability to independently make decisions and manage multiple projects and tasks 
• Interest or prior experience in a fast-growth startup environment
• Interest and/or relevant experience in journalism or the news industry
