North Sound Root Canal Specialists in Bellingham, WA is looking for a dynamic, full-time endodontic DA or RDA who is a problem-solver, quick learner, flexible and embraces a can-do attitude.
$24.00 - $26.00 depending on experience
Full Time | 4-Day Work Week | Flexible between Monday - Friday
Benefits: Healthcare, cellphone ($100.00)
*$1000.00 sign on bonus with ½ paid out after 3 months of consecutive employment and the other half after 6 months of consecutive employment

DENTAL ASSISTING JOB DUTIES:
• Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Prepares patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, patient.
• Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
• Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for endodontist’s access; suctioning; passing instruments.
• Provides materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth.
• Provides diagnostic information by exposing digital radiographic images.
• Helps endodontist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency contacts.
• Documents dental care services by charting in patient notes and final reports to referral source.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Ensures operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Maintains dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt.
• Conserves dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Perform patient well-check phone calls after treatment.
• Periodic Involvement with marketing deliveries and/or marketing events.
• Perform on-call duties to include monitoring the on-call phone and responding quickly to patients' phone calls/emergencies (the on-call DA changes week).
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• 1-3+ years dental assisting experience.
• X-ray & CPR certification (preferred).
• Knowledge of endodontics (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal.
• Previous administrative work a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft office suite.
• Team player and self- starter.
• Embraces a can-do attitude and very flexible.
• Dynamic thinker and problem-solver.
• A quick learner, takes great direction and embraces constructive feedback.
