Talento Search Group has an opening for a Manual & CNC Machinist in Muscatine, Iowa. This is a direct-hire position and the pay rate is from $22-$28 per hour, depending on experience. This is a 1st shift position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Program and Setup CNC equipment for production operations
- Repair tools, fixtures, and dies
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery
- Perform changeovers on equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair machine breakdowns
- Perform manual lathe/mill work, bandsaw work, and operate CNC lathes and mills
Experience Needed:
- At least 3 years of recent machining experience
- Ability to make parts and repair tooling using mills and lathes
- Strong experience with setting up CNC machines and operating them for production
- Experience with drill presses, manual mills, and manual lathes
- Experience with CNC Mazak Lathes is preferred
- Must be able to read blueprints, use dial calipers, micrometer, depth gauges, and scales
- Ability to perform shop math and ability to read schematics
- Ability to rig heavy machinery and equipment for use with overhead cranes
