A/V SPECIALIST III

To provide skilled services necessary to perform Multimedia and Information System Management Support Services at the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) at Patrick Air Force Base.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

• Individual performs audiovisual and multimedia support and services for the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) as needed. Individual performs live to- tape recording as well as pre-production, production & post-production duties for DEOMI. Duties include operator maintenance, operation of all A/V equipment and systems as well as maintaining records. Video services, in addition to providing electronic video production, non-linear editing and broadcast services, include operation and dissemination of graphic text announcements, video clips and Armed Forces information clips on the DEOMI network. Additionally, creating and editing videos for official military purposes may be required.
• As a technical expert, exercises imagination and creative ability in response to videography and other audio/video situations requiring novel and varied treatment.
• Typically performs one or more of the following assignments: (1) develops and adapts.
• A/V equipment or systems to meet new and changing situations (2) plans and organizes the overall technical A/V coverage for a variety of events (3) creates desired illusions or effects by developing trick or special effects for novel situations requiring a high degree of ingenuity and imaginative camera work and post-production techniques.

Mandatory:

• Associate’s Degree with two years’ experience and knowledge in film and video production or at a minimum five consecutive years without a degree in film and video production.
• Must present a professional image and manner.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
