Objective: To care for patients and collaborating with the Medical Director

Reports to: Medical Director/ Regional Director of Operations/Collaborating Physician

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)

  • Assess patient information provided from triage, conduct patient exam/procedures, and ultimately execute on treating appropriately to resolve the patient chief complaint
  • Collect biological specimens and perform testing when Medical Assistant is unable to do so
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, incision & drainage wound care,
  • Work in conjunction Radiologic Technologists/Medical Assistants/Collaborating Physician to call back patients when deemed necessary (such as results of lab or x-ray over-read) and ensure patient satisfaction
  • Assist Physician with patient care
  • Comply with the center’s medical protocols, policies, and technology usage
  • Communicate effectively & meaningfully with the Supervising Physician in regards to patient care and center operations

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience post-graduation working as a licensed Nurse Practitioner in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine or Family Medicine environment
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Understanding of the concepts of universal precautions, HIPAA and OSHA
  • Outgoing, friendly demeanor
  • Team player, excellent verbal and communication skills, adaptable in different situations, possess excellent client interaction skills, able to multi-task and work

  • State of NM Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (APRN, CNP, FNP)

Experience:

  • Relevant: 1 year (preferred)
