Software Network Test Engineer for Global Consumer Device Company in Mountain View, CA Summary: Join a globally known consumer device company as a Software Network Test Engineer with a background in the network domain. You will contribute to user experience and security that aims to improve and enrich your life. You will be responsible for writing and executing test cases to ensure effective solutions for the success and security of products and work with various partners for test plans, progress and joint solutions when needed. You must be self-sufficient who can effectively collaborate with a partner when needed for the success of the project. Responsibilities: End to end testing of a product including automation on android mobile devices. Independently drive QA efforts, quality of the project, assess, report product quality risks and ensure quality deliverables in android platform. Plan automation testing strategies, timelines/milestones, maintain existing automation framework, build maintainable, high quality and effective automated tests. Create Test strategy, Test Plan and perform test execution across different android mobile devices. Analyze production issues, identify test gaps across the entire testing stack and make systemic improvements in testing strategy and automation testing. Collaborate with onsite and overseas cross functional teams during project life cycle, PM, developer and TPM for test case review, defect review and risk assessment to ensure quality deliverables. Analyzing quality data, identifying areas of improvement, and implementing innovative ideas to improve quality solutions. Collaboration with our partners in testing joint solutions. Act as a hybrid team member; someone who is well-versed and skilled in manual testing and automation. Will be involved with writing scripts and maintaining frameworks. Required Skillset: 3+ years of experience driving testing efforts for a project independently and supporting end to end testing including automating scripts with exposure to complete project life cycle. Hands-on experience in Java or Python is mandatory. Experience in networking domain, testing protocols like DNS/SSH/HTTP, TCP, DHCP, UDP, IPSec and familiar with socket programming. Excellent understanding of QA processes and methodologies. Experience in mobile testing and execution. Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent. Ability to write test cases. Bonus Skillset: Experience in testing various network platforms/VPN clients (Juniper, Cisco and ZScaler etc.) is a plus. Cisco Certification(s) (CCNA), or equivalent is desirable.
