Manufacturing & Process Engineer We currently have a full-time Direct Hire opportunity for a Manufacturing & Process Engineer with a customer in Youngstown, OH that provides highly engineered integrated solutions for the power generation, transmission, and distribution sectors. Reporting to the Director of Asset Management, this role requires deep Engineering and Manufacturing knowledge and will focus on developing and improving processes and products, implementing projects, and supporting business development. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Analyzes and proposes changes and improvements to workflows and processes at both production business process levels. Review workflow, space requirements and layout of equipment for maximum efficiency. Works alongside the different departments at the Ohio-based facilities. Lead product development initiatives. Incorporates technologies, practices, processes, and tools to boost throughput and cost-related efficiencies. Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control initiatives and tools. Ensure output meets quality standards. Develops Work Instructions, Standard Operation Procedures, and other Manufacturing/Operations related documentation. Performs internal quality audits to guarantee adherence to Quality Systems. Follows a project management approach to developing and implementing activities, including managing subcontractors. Responsible for defining and following the strategy to manage CAD and drawing files and documentation. Creates and modifies layouts, models, and assemblies using CAD software. Implements manufacturing best practices and methodologies (5S, lean, TPS, 6-sigma, just-in-time, among others) to achieve desired results. Lead projects from definition and abstract stages to implementation and control with the manufacturing crews. Ensure all health and safety precautions are taken, policies are followed and enforced. Familiar with interpreting and following technical industry standards. Follow and design testing plans for Certification. Works on quotations of product and liaises with Customers on technical matters upon Management request. Manages and Executes Investments Plan for Operations alongside Director of Asset Management. Participates in the coordination of Maintenance related activities. Manages Contractors for the projects assigned to them. Qualification and Requirements: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Engineering and Manufacturing. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering. Experience defining and implementing projects using project management tools. Experience implementing continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and other manufacturing methodologies. Experience in defining and implementing processes. Understanding of Industrial Standards, Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001, and Quality Control. Strong experience and skills in using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Experience programming and/or operating CNC equipment – mills, lathes, routers, is preferred. Experience in Plant Operations and Manufacturing is preferred.
