THE POSITION

The Senior Production/Supply Planner is responsible for the coordination and scheduling of production activities to ensure that our products are manufactured and delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. As an integral part of the Supply Chain team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, manufacturing, manufacturing transfer, purchasing and logistics to develop and implement supply and production plans, and monitor their execution according to schedules.

IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL

  • Create a consolidated demand plan from global sales forecasts and internal requirements, adjusting for forecast error and perishability.
  • Load all MRP parameters with latest available information and evaluate all reports, signals, and other outputs for accuracy, facilitating well-informed decisions.
  • Create and maintain the master production schedule (MPS) with consideration to current inventory levels, safety stock requirements, shelf life, and demand while meeting all specified service levels and minimizing scrap.
  • In coordination with the Manufacturing team, develop a daily activity plan supporting the MPS requirements and create summary reports for area management.
  • Initiate transfer orders to fulfillment centers to meet regional demand and minimize shipping and handling costs.
  • Ensure that materials, equipment, and personnel are available as needed for production, communicating exceptions to all necessary stakeholders and seeking guidance as necessary to resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to ensure that production goals are met.
  • Review completed batch records for variances against plan, enter completed builds into the NetSuite ERP system, and update bills of materials as appropriate.

FOR THIS POSITION, WE LOOK FOR

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant certifications in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline or 4+ years of experience as a planner/scheduler in a similar environment.
  • Understanding of production processes in a laboratory setting.
  • Experience working in a GMP environment is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a penchant for process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
