This position can be filled from either Fairfax, VA, Linthicum, MD, Aurora, CO, Morrisville, NC or Redondo Beach, CA.What You’ll Get to Do:Technical leader for the system architecture – ensuring system is well architected, designed, developed, and implementedCollaborate with Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT), Software Engineering, and Infrastructure (including cyber) teams throughout the system development life cycleDiplomatically interface with all levels of management, employees, internal and external customers, and vendors Liaison with the Product Owner to manage the product road map and communicating the impact of changing customer requirementsIdentifying technical risks/opportunities and proactively developing plans to mitigate and release themUnderstanding of DoD systems engineering requirementsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 14 years of relevant experience; 12 years with a Master’s; or 9 years with a PhD. Strong understanding of SEIT and Software EngineeringExperience in Model Based Systems EngineeringExperience with Ground architectures, cloud-based and bare metal environmentsExperienced with service-oriented architectureExperience with DevSecOps environments in CI/CD pipelinesExperience with Database TechnologiesExperience working on Agile programs and methodologyExperience with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)Experience with Ground SegmentDemonstrated problem solving and decision making skillsProactive, highly motivated, and adaptable, with excellent organizational skills including the ability to juggle multiple tasks, changing needs, and competing priorities. Individual must be able to complete a wide variety of tasks with minimal supervisionExperience leading a team of software engineers in software development deliverables and processesExcellent leadership and interpersonal communications skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees and managementTS/SCI and willingness to sit for polygraphAble to work in a dynamic, in office environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience with design and development of national security space or commercial space, interfaces, and ground systems architecture and/or integration of multiple IPTs is strongly preferredExperience working in a defense customer and aerospace industry firmExperience with Northrop Grumman processes and proceduresAbility to identify process bottlenecks and implement Process improvement with multiple stakeholderSalary Range: $150,000.00 - $247,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
