In this role you will serve as a structural engineering technical consultant for the Design and Engineering team of a prominent DoD customer.Responsibilities:May function as Structural Project Engineer on medium to large projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the group.May plan, direct, and supervise the work of a major project requiring a large-scale expenditure of manpower and financial investment.May lead other Engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth in the Quality Improvement Process.Provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.Ensure compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulationsPrepare material/equipment specifications and purchase requisitions; reviews supplier data; witnesses shop tests, assists with assessing supplier manufacturing capabilities.Conduct surveys, studies, and site investigations.Maintain affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.Help determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.May assist with other administrative and technical duties.Recommend and prepares technical papers.What Required Skills You'll Bring:BSCE or related Structural Engineering program and 10+ years in the Structural Engineering fieldMaryland PE registration requiredGood communication and analytical skillsWorking knowledge and proficiency with MS Office Suite of word processing and integrated software applicationsUS CitizenActive TS/SCI and polygraphWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skillsStrong leadership and interpersonal skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsFlexibleStrong written and verbal communicate skillsSelf-MotivatedAbility to facilitate/lead complex engineering projects and teamsMinimum Clearance Required to Start:Top Secret SCI w/PolygraphThis position is part of our Federal Solutions team.Our Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
